AnnMarie McCallister is an experienced communicator, designer and art director in the fields of publishing, advertising and marketing.

She is a creative leader who infuses wit and artistic vision into creative strategies and design products, combining elements and techniques in unexpected, engaging ways.

She currently creates visual communications assets for a company that has raised more than $2 billion for and with non-profit organizations around the world. Collaborating with a team of coaches on strategic messaging, she uses a client’s unique story and visual identity to produce highly effective “engagement tools” that those clients then use as a roadmap when making a specific development request of donors.

During her time as Cultural Arts Coordinator for the City of Upper Arlington, Ohio, AnnMarie promoted art exhibits, musical concerts and the Labor Day Arts Festival, designing and creating pieces that were unique to each exhibition, performance, or event. As someone who has stylishly made typography and artwork work together for nearly her entire professional career, she found it important to make works that were not simply throwaway bits, but relevant, complementary, and of substance in and of themselves for each event.

AnnMarie was also a long-time part of the creative team for the highly-regarded Columbus Monthly family of magazines, most recently as Art Director for Columbus Bride magazine — which was nationally recognized by the City and Regional Magazine Association during her time there as the group’s “Best Ancillary Publication.”

AnnMarie also is an accomplished illustrator and art quilter, with numerous published pieces and works accepted into juried shows. She is founder and “Baklava Fairy” of Glad Annie’s Old World Baklava, handling not only production, but also marketing and advertising for this popular local home-based bakery.
