The MAC sign that basically serves as a gateway into Worthington, visible to anyone arriving from the west on Route 161 — attention-grabbing with the pertinent details emphasized and easy to read at a glance.

A cause close to my heart

My relationship with the McConnell Arts Center building began during my high school days at Thomas Worthington, when the building housed most of the school’s art classes. It was the space where I connected with fellow creatives, where we would work and support one another as we shared our love of art and the creative process.

Being in the space today elicits that same feeling, and I revel in the feeling I get when I can share that with the larger community through the amazing and diverse programming the MAC offers. It has been an absolute honor over the past six years to contribute to the MAC’s mission through the freelance design and communications work I have created there — including all the promotional material for the 2023 Arts Festival.

Post cards inviting the community to attend the Arts Festival, created using the logo I designed and elements from it. Result was a splashy, attention-grabbing piece sent to mailboxes throughout Worthington and beyond.
